Individual guitar lessons for children, teenagers and adults — suitable for beginners and continuing students.
The lessons are individual. A standard lesson lasts 50 minutes.
During the first lesson, we identify the student’s current level, goals and musical interests. After that, the lessons are adapted to the specific student — their age, pace, experience and musical taste.
Lessons usually take place in person in Riga, but they may also take place online by prior agreement.
Edgars Jercums is a professional musician and guitarist with more than 20 years of experience.
Edgars is the guitarist of the band Dziļi Violets, has collaborated with many well-known musicians in Latvia, and has played in various musical projects in Latvia and abroad. He has performed on stages of different sizes — from small concerts to large-scale events.
In addition to active musicianship, Edgars also has significant teaching experience — he has worked in private music schools as well as state educational institutions, and has developed accredited study programmes.
“In my view, learning guitar is not only about chords and technique. It is an opportunity to learn to play your favourite songs, understand music better, develop musical hearing, sense of rhythm, memory, reaction, concentration and creative thinking.
In the lessons, I combine practical stage experience with a structured but lively approach to learning. My goal is to help the student not only play notes or chords correctly, but also feel the music, think musically and experience the joy of their own progress.”
